Sessions
Session 1 is from 4:30 – 5:50, Session 2 is from 6:00 – 7:20. You must ensure your child attends on time for the session that he/she has been allocated and you must also take responsibility to collect your child on time. All students are expected to be on time.
Parents are requested to observe the rules of safe road use and parking when dropping and picking up their children. Any parent parking inappropriately, blocking other road users or driveways etc. will be warned and if this behaviour continues further action will be taken.
Lateness will not be accepted. If a child is later than 10 minutes twice in any week they will be given a warning that any repetition of this will result in a meeting between the child’s parents and the madrassah. Children should be ready to start the class at the given times this means arriving earlier than their start time. Please ensure your child comes to madrasa having used the bathroom and having performed wudu as doing this during class time takes up valuable learning time.
Absence will not be tolerated. At the Qaida level any child missing more than two days a month will be given a warning. At any higher level this warning will be for any child missing more than 4 days in a month. If this occurs for three months it will result in a fine of £10. Continued absence of this nature will result in the removal of your child from the madrassah
If there is absence due to sickness the madrassah should be contacted by phone before the start of the class. Any absence not informed in this way will be marked down as unauthorised and will affect overall attendance.
A child is not allowed to take any holidays extra to the madrassah given holidays except by advance permission from the madrassah which should be requested in writing.
Children will receive holidays on the following Islamic dates according to the lunar calendar: The last 10 days of Ramadan (i.e. 20th until the end). The two Eids (with the inclusion of the day prior to the day of Eid and two days after the day of Eid i.e. 4 days in total), The 1st of Muharram (Islamic new year), The 9th and 10th of Muharram, 12th Rabi al-Awwal (Milad Sharif), 27th Rajab (Shab e M’iraj), 15th Sha’ban (Shab e Bara’at).

Conduct
As Muslims it is paramount that we show our respect for the Masjid which is the House of Allah. As our classes take place within the Masjid it is important that you explain to your child the importance of respecting the Masjid, helping keep it clean and adopting good manners at all time within the masjid. Students will be requested to remove their jackets and socks before entering the class. Please be aware that your children should not bring any electrical equipment, toys, games jewellery, mobile phones, mp3/mp4 players etc. or any food, drink, sweets, chewing gum etc. to the madrassah.
If found in the possession of a child these items will be confiscated and the parents will have to personally collect the items from the madrassah at a mutually agreed time which can be arranged through the admin team.
Any behaviour which is deemed against the etiquettes of the Masjid will not be tolerated and may result in suspension or expulsion from the madrassah.
Disciplinary Procedure
In the unfortunate situation that your child needs discipline then a verbal warning shall be given and a note will be made in the register. If the unacceptable behaviour continues then a first warning letter will be given detailing the inappropriate behaviour and the reply slip must be filled in and returned. If despite this the bad behaviour persists a second warning letter will be given asking you to attend a meeting to discuss your child’s behaviour. In the third and final instance a final warning letter will be given suspending the student for two weeks. In this instance a meeting will be called with the parent’s to try and determine a solution. Any major violation of discipline will result in immediate suspension. Continued behaviour of this type will result in the expulsion of the child.
