I'TIKAF 2022

I'tikaf (retreat) during the last ten days of Ramadan is an established sunnah of our Prophet ﷺ. This is an opportunity for the one sitting i'tikaf to worship, reflect and purify the soul. During the greatest month of the year one has this opportunity to retreat from the dunya into the sanctity of Allah’s house and spend these blessed moments in reciting and trying to understand the words of the holy Qur’an, in sending abundant salawat upon Allah’s Habib ﷺ, making up any missed prayers, praying extra nawafil prayers and studying the sacred sciences of Islam.
This year I'tikaf will take place Friday 22nd April 2022 to 2nd May 2022. You will be expected to arrive in the Masjid for Asr at 6:30pm. Please note you must be in the Masjid before sunset for the sunnah I'tekaf to be valid.
Brothers will have the opportunity to study subjects they prefer or require in groups, direction will be provided on the recommended acts of worship and how best to structure the day. You will also be able to receive guidance directly from our imams as well as one to one study sessions which can be arranged for you.

- Luton central masjid will not be liable for any loss or damage to any property/valuables you bring on to our site.
- Although there is some food, dates and water usually served in the daily community iftar, you will be responsible for provision of your own food for sehri and iftar.
- The sanctity of the masjid is of utmost importance, management reserves the right to ask you to leave at any time should your actions/behaviour be deemed inappropriate according to the teachings of Islam.
